JP Cates

JP Cates is a country singer, songwriter, and entertainer from Washington State.  He
started out his performance career in college where he became fascinated by the technical and
performance aspects of musical and stage theater.  After college he moved to Las Vegas, where
he had the opportunity to work with large productions on the strip, performing in shows such as
Nashville Knights, which teamed for a year,  and dozens of musical showcase performances. JP
also put together his own Country band, and loved working with great musicians. He began
writing songs after he learned his father was ill, as a way to put to words what he was feeling
inside.  
After his father passed away, he left Sin City and moved to the heart of Country Music
Country, Nashville Tennessee, where he got more into songwriting, performing at dozens of
open mics, as well as performing in several weekly shows, in Downtown Nashville.
After learning so much during his stay in the Music City, he moved back to his home
state of Washington to finally put down his roots.  He has been writing his own music and
entertaining audiences for more than a decade now in Seattle, Washington where he resides
with his husband and his pack of beautiful huskies.

BARTENDER Highway 95   Highway 95 is an acoustic/rock country music duo, also performing as a full band, based in Karratha, Western Australia. They are a familiar and well-loved act across the Pilbara region, performing regularly at local venues, festivals, and private events, where their high-energy performances and authentic country sound continue to resonate with audiences.   Formed in January 2023, Highway 95 brings together the talents of Bob Derschow on guitar and Nicole Bylund on lead vocals. Between them, the duo boasts more than two decades of live performance experience each, having previously worked in numerous bands across a range of styles. MAMA'S HUNGRY EYES Lindsay Butler   The Lindsay Butler name is legendary in Australian Country Music as both the greatest guitar player of his generation, renowned as “The Master of Country Guitar” and one of the most highly respected record producers in the nation.     2023 marks his 50th Anniversary as a professional recording artist, first recording on Opal Records back in 1973 when enlisted as Slim Dusty’s guitarist. He became the first country guitar player in Australia to record a solo instrumental album and also won his first Golden Guitar for “Instrumental of the Year” back then.     After releasing several successful albums on Opal, Lindsay was employed as House Producer for Hadley Records developing their roster of talent and recording several more successful instrumental albums for Hadley during that period.     He then opened his own recording studio, Lindsay Butler Studios, in 1989 where he continued to produce albums for his own career and many other country recording stars and labels. Lindsay and business partner/wife, Shaza Leigh, branded LBS Music in 1994 and the LBS Music label has launched and promoted some of the finest Australian Country talent ever since. Lindsay has now personally recorded 35 solo instrumental albums and he has assembled his favourite 25 tracks from his 50 year career and released them as “The Ultimate Collection”. And what a collection it is!!     Lindsay says it best himself in the cover notes - “What a life! 50 years recording country music and travelling this beautiful country. This is my Ultimate Collection of instrumentals I’ve recorded, of my favourite composers, Slim, Buddy, John, Hank, Merle, Reg, Shorty & of course Shaza Leigh.
